The Kissing Hand

The kissing hand.. Jamison LOVES this book! He walks around with his hand closed all the time now because I kissed it.. Total "AWWWW" moment!

So we made kissing hands.. I traced the boys' hands onto card-stock, cuz good luck getting them to sit still for 12 different hand tracings! Then used the card-stock hand template to retrace their hands on some coordinating scrapbook paper :)

We made 12 hands..
"Kissing hands for you with love"
"for when you need love"
"for good luck"
"for when you get sick"
"for when you get hurt"
"For when you are sad"
"for when you are scared"
"for when you need a hug"
"for when you feel alone"
"for when you need an extra care"
"for when you miss me"
"for sweet dreams"
Then came the adorable cute part... Kissing the hands!
I just used a hole punch and tied them all together with some string afterwards :)

Guess How Much I Love You

One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE books is ^this one!!!

So, we made Valentine's card for Mommy's off of this book :)

Pretty simple, cut out a heart and Write "Guess How Much I Love You?" on the front

On the inside I let the boys do their thing with some black paint and then put glue on dots and told them to put stars on there thus representing the night sky and we wrote "I love you to the stars and back, and that is a fact" on the little card and glued it in there and voila! Hardest thing to do was convince Jamison we had enough stars! Haha

Handprint/Footprint Calendars

Cover of the calendar

I decided to make handprint/footprint calendars with the boys... I probably bit off more than I wanted to BUT the end result is adorable!! SO I guess it was worth all the time and mess :)

Jan has a handprint snowflake

February has a handprint heart

March has a handprint 4 leaf clover and leprechaun

April had a handprint world, umbrella, rabbit, and a footprint carrot
(Jamison got a little carried away with his handprint world so we had to squeeze the others in)

May has a handprint flowerpot and a footprint butterfly.

June had a footprint boat, a handprint rainbow, and a handprint and footprint fish.

July has a footprint rocket ship and a handprint eagle and flag.
August has a handprint sun and crab.

September has a handprint tree, school bus, and box of crayons.

October has a footprint witch and handprint spiders and pumpkins.

November has a hand & footprint turkey and a handprint Indian.

December has a handprint Christmas tree and a footprint manger with baby Jesus.

This was a 13 month calendar so we made an extra January with footprint snowmen.

I did one for each of the boys and I put a different poem on the backs of the calendar. One poem talks about missing mommy so I thought that was appropriate to send to mommy downrange and then Jamison's calendar just has a poem about dirty handprints since I'm not missing him LOL

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday

We also celebrated Jamison's 4'th birthday this last year. And Little man is obsessed with Mickey Mouse. So, we turned our home into Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse.. And had a Hot Diggity Dog good time!

The invitations I made :)
Some other party stuff I made :)

Used aluminum foil to make a veggie tray
A balloon wreath for the front door
M&M bouquet

Present table
He had a soccer game that morning so Daddy took him and I decorated for his party... When he came home he was quite surprised that our garage looked like the clubhouse!

Along with a hot dog bar and of course cup cakes! We also had some mickey mouse cake batter rice krispy treats:)
For activities We painted pictures of the Clubhouse gang, played pin the nose on Mickey, and decorated Mickey Mouse cookies.

And then we can't forget the pinata!!! Next time I make one we're using less layers because the kids were never actually able to break this one open.. They needed a little help from daddies... WHOOOPS!

Birthday boy enjoying his cupcake :)

Sock Monkey Birthday Party

Welp, I know this was last year but better late than never right! I've been a horrible person not keeping up with  this but I'm going to try better this year! Here are a few posts to highlight last year :)

Makayla turned 8 and requested a sock monkey birthday party... As I call her my monkey she is now obsessed with monkeys :)

Here's the birthday girl with her cake :) And here are some of the party essentials we used.
Monkey juice and monkey water bottles

I used mason jars to make favors for the adults that came to the party.. These had peanut butter brownie mix in them. And then we dolled them up to be "monkeyish"

We had the candy bar with themed boxes and monkey cookies for the kids to take home as party favors.

Can't have a birthday party without cake or cupcakes!!! And here are some of our other "monkey" foods

F

For crafts we make sock monkey puppets out of paper bags and monkey faces :)
An awesomely, adorable birthday party!!!
Happy birthday Monkey Moo!!
